Discover your ideal string tension. Adjust the slider to see how control, power, and spin are affected.
One tension for all strings
Balanced: Good control and power.
Ability to place the ball precisely
Ball energy and speed
Ability to generate rotation
Recommended for: Advanced players seeking balance.
Tip: This setup works best with basic poly (polyester) strings. For more comfort, try a poly/multifilament hybrid.
Think of your strings like a trampoline. When they're tight (higher number), the ball bounces less - you have more control. When they're loose (lower number), the ball bounces more - you get more power but it's harder to control.
For spin, what works best is usually in the middle - not too tight or too loose. That's why your spin score is highest around 50 lb.
Tight strings reduce the trampoline effect. The ball doesn\'t launch as much, giving you better placement and precision.
Loose strings create more rebound. The ball shoots off the racquet faster, giving you easy power without swinging as hard.
Modern polys generate the most spin when strung in the mid-low range. Too tight or too loose actually reduces spin potential.
